Agency Divisions

Chief Deputy

Major J. Suters is responsible for the supervision of the three (3) Divisions of the Sheriff's Office: Jail, Investigations, and Patrol.  Major Suters oversees the daily operations of the Sheriff's Office and is the Chief Deputy Sheriff serving as second in command of the Office and reporting directly to the Sheriff.

Patrol

Captain C. Danner is responsible for commanding the Patrol Division.  The Patrol Division includes the Patrol Unit, Special Operations Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Civil Unit, and Records Unit.  He supervises these functions with the assistance of an Operations Lieutenant and an Administrative Lieutenant.

Criminal Investigations

Captain C. Cull-Wright is responsible for commanding the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), with the assistance of a CID Lieutenant.  The Criminal Investigations Division consists of nine Investigators who are trained in areas such as crime scene investigation, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), sex crimes, elder abuse & exploitation, child abuse, narcotics, frauds, and general investigations.

Corrections

Captain J. Wimer operates the Rockingham Regional Jail and commands the Corrections Division.  He supervises this function with the aid of two Lieutenants, four Shift Sergeants, a Booking Sergeant, and a Court Security & Prisoner Transportation Sergeant.
